Forget the raw egg and tomato juice, icepacks, hair of the dog etc, once again here is our best cure for those hangover blues - the annual Hangover Handicap!
This race is a trophy race over the traditional 4 mile (6.6km) course at Mt Kembla on New Year's Day, Friday 1st January, 2016.
To be eligible to win the Hangover Handicap Running Nut Trophy you must have raced in at least 3 of the current Summer Series events of the 2015/16 season. Minimum age restrictions for juniors apply – see below.
The schedule of races for the day is as follows:
- 1km - 3:45pm – All juniors
- 2km - 3:45pm - Open & all juniors
- 4 mile - 4:00pm - Open & Juniors >15 years (@ 31/12/16)
This race has been known to be a warm one so please make sure you hydrate well during the day of the race and take frequent sips of water in the few hours before hand. If you are suffering the effects of the night before seriously consider if you are fit to run.
As is always the case we need volunteers to ensure a safely run race. If you can help please contact Elad Haas
