W SQUARED AND FLYING FOX SERIES OF RACES

Seniors and athletes 10 years plus: 3000m
Juniors, 16 years and under: 1500m

This exciting series of races starts this Thursday, June 26th at 6.30pm at Beaton Park and continues for 3 weeks. On the 4th week, the handicapper will determine which 15 athletes have shown sufficient consistency or improvement to make the handicapped final. The handicapper will take into account, the series races, the previous track races and the winter series races. This will give a better idea of an athlete's form.
For the 3000m, athletes must compete in at least 2 of the 3 lead up races to be eligible for the final. The final winner will receive the W Squared Trophy.

Junior athletes who elect to run in the 3000m events, will be eligible on form, for the 3000m final, but should realise that only 15 athletes will be chosen. Juniors should carefully select which distance they will compete in over the 3 weeks.
For the 1500m, all junior athletes will make the handicapped final. The winner will receive the Flying Fox Trophy.
