Information Sources

KJ Website

All the info you need on the club is available on the KJ homepage which can be accessed at our website.

The home page contains link buttons to race results, photo galleries, records, The FOX on-line, race programs, club members forum and much more. Race results from road and track events are posted as soon as possible after each race. The site is updated daily with the latest club news and there are also links to many other running related sites. Besides all this, a wealth of information on everything else to do with the club can be found.

Members are encouraged to send stories, results and information for inclusion on the site to Brendan Scollary (brendan@spiderwebdesigns.com.au)

The Fox

The KJs official club newsletter The Fox is produced every 3 months for the enjoyment of members. Each issue is posted to the website and a link is usually emailed out to all KJ members who have provided us with their email address at the start of the membership year. If you don’t have email or web access please advise The Fox editor, Stephen Brown, and he will ensure alternative arrangements are made for you – this includes a few printed copies being made available at the next KJ event.

The Fox contains a lot of additional club news and reports not usually posted on the website. These include race reports, President’s report, stories from members, coaching tips, nutrition advice, recipes, social news, upcoming events and the latest club gossip (if it can be believed!). Input from club members is always very welcome and can be presented in any format for inclusion in upcoming issues. Material can be sent via snail mail to the club at PO Box 527 Dapto 2530, by hand or email to Stephen Brown at stevebrown169@hotmail.com

Email Information Service

If you provide your email address upon joining the club each year you will be added to the KJs email information service. The week before each event you will be sent a reminder about that particular race and also if any late changes apply. Other important information will also be sent out from time to time. Please let us know promptly if your email address changes. Email for club distribution and email address changes can be sent to runners@kemblajoggers.org.au

KJ Email Addresses

Want your very own Kembla Joggers email address? Well now you can have one!

KJs is able to provide members with a permanent KJ email address under the KJ domain such as me@kemblajoggers.org.au. Your KJ email account can be accessed from anywhere on the Internet, which means users are no longer tied to any particular service provider for their email address.

This is a “first-come, first-in” service so if your name is Judy, there will only ever be one judy@kemblajoggers.org.au available! To apply for your FREE KJ email address and account click on the “KJ Email” button on the toolbar of the KJ website homepage and follow the instructions.

Note: This an email only address and does not include dial up access. Subscribers to this account will access their KJ email from an ISP account with your current Internet provider, or from anywhere else on the Internet, via HTTP.

The Wollongong Advertiser

Each week in The Wollongong Advertiser sports pages a column called “Track and Field” appears with the KJs writing the article every third week. The two other local athletics clubs write the article on the other weeks.

Illawarra Mercury

Usually KJ results are sent to the Mercury for publication in the Sports Results columns which precede the sports pages. There is no guarantee when the results will appear but we are informed that they are published at the first opportunity that space becomes available.
